I am frustrated for you. Sometimes they just die on you. (My coffee and i have been responsible for a few premature keyboard deaths also) Hope things get better.

Nope on both accounts zoe- you're right. An external keyboard for the laptop is ok temporarily but I'm going to have to either get it fixed or spring for a new one.
