I don't get it

I don't understand this look. I don't have time to post anything meaningful, but I saw way too many feet looking like this today and I don't get it. If anyone does this could you let me know WHY! I mean if your feet are deformed then you wouldn't even own a pair of sandals, right? And if you prefer to wear socks on your feet then why would you even think about wearing sandals; they are for 'airy" feet, breathable feet, hot weather, not for feet that want to be covered! So If you choose to wear socks on a 90 degree day then why in the hell do you choose to put sandals on top of them! I DON'T GET IT!

Look at those feet? What's up?!

I don't get it either... no style or they just don't care, I guess.

"Jerusalem Cruisers" is what my dad calls them. No explanation for the sox.

OK, sometimes it's just too cold to not have socks on, but too warm to wear shoes. And besides, sandles are a lot more comfortable than shoes. I would never wear socks with anything other than hiking/sport sandles, and then I wear hiking socks. I think it depends on the person. Some people, like me because I am super cool, can carry that look off. Well not the look in the picture you posted, but that person looks like a fashion trainwreck anyway.

Is that part of the "WWJD" wear? ("what would Jesus do" for anyone who is not good a acronyms like myself)

HA HA HA HA

I thought it was just british men that wore socks with sandels, but I see the trend has spread worldwide :-)

God help the poor sods that think this sort of thing is OK, cos it aint, so please sort it out, its discusting.

And while we'r on the subject, I saw a chick today wearing a pair of closed toe sandels with fucking white trainer socks ;-) Whats it all about? Is it a new trend?

Bloody hell!

Sassyfemme and maggie, whether they care or not, are in style or not (never), too cold for bare feet or are british men; sandals with socks simply do not make sense!.And I'm so glad we are all in agreement. Again, do not make any physical sense. Think about it. Zoe, I'm not buying it- if it's too cold for no socks then your next thought should be to go for the SHOES. Unless the only footwear on the market were sandals or hiking boots then I hear what you're saying, but that's not the case. There are a plethra of shoes to choose from out there that are comfortable AND fashionable AND lightweight so unless you have some strange sweat problem coming from your feet...

trinity2,madhatter and fairy: WWJD? I could care less and I don't even think he'd consider that look. I know this is not a trend in the USA, it's been going on forever!know what I'm saying?
the problem with summertime is that for some bizarre reason people belive that no matter what the temperature is outside sandals are the only shoes that are an option and they wear them everywhere- with open toes, closed toes, white socks, 'sport' socks, black socks. It doesn't matter to them because all they see is the date on the calendar-it says it's June and June means sandals. Can we please get those British "What Not To Wear" women over here! They rock and the are funny as hell.

zoe since you're the only one who confessed I have two more questions: If you're wearing hiking/sport sandals with socks are you hiking? And out of curiosity what temperature is it when it's too cold for just sandals but too warm for the shoes? We may all need a photo of your feet to judge whether it's a 'cool'look or not...

keep up the good fashion ladies-

We definitely need Trinny and Susannah to kick some unfashionable ass. Their American counterparts, Stacy and Clinton just aren't tough enough.

Yeah Trinny and Suzanna crack me up, they dont give a toss what they say, and like you say, 'its funny as hell'.

Fairy is always stuck to the tv when their on and I bought her the books too.

No, I'll wear that even if I'm not hiking. And sandals are way more comfortable than shoes or hiking boots any day of the week.

I like to wear sandals even when it's like 40 degrees out.
